Solid Brick of Brothers...
"Our house is a very, very, very fine house..."
The dream started back on March 3, 1965, by Brother John Mach 1… and we are now 1.071 brothers strong (93 actives, 978 alumni and 23 pledges)! In 2018, two Cal Eta alumni brothers established a Phi Kappa Psi Alumni Corporation. Through their hard work with a Greek National Lending group, they helped take over the current loan for the Cal Eta house on 1335 Foothill. Our PKP Corporation was given a five year pay off agreement. Today, the Cal Eta house is in the best condition ever. We have two years left on the loan and our goal is to have the house paid off by 2023.
To ensure we maintain a “Cal Eta Home” for our active brothers and alumni to visit, we’re excited to announce the Solid Brick of Brothers… campaign. The goal is to raise the $350,000 to pay off the loan and remind every brother that they’re part of the Phi Kappa Psi Alumni Corporation.
To get things started, we’re asking all brothers who can, to donate $1,000 or more, all of which will be used to pay off the house loan. Those who donate $1,000 or more will receive custom PKP apparel, glassware and a brick will be engraved with their name and bump. The bricks will then be installed at the PKP house to “pave the way” for others. Once the house loan is paid off, we’ll be able to create a reserve account, to ensure OUR Cal Eta house is well maintained and reflective of the pride of our brotherhood.
To help kick off the Solid Brick of Brothers… campaign, an alumni brother has generously offered to match a $25,000 donation by any group of brothers, or any individual who donates this matching amount.
