Mark Reuss (Vanderbilt ‘83)
Mark Reuss is a mechanical engineer who began his GM career as a student intern in 1983. With nearly four decades of experience within the automotive industry, he has served GM in numerous capacities and now, as President of General Motors, leads the company in their vision of an all-electric future through its innovative technologies, products and initiatives.
Born and raised in Metro Detroit, Mark continues to call the area home. He is deeply committed to revitalizing the city via education, community, and philanthropy. He is a member of the Board of Trustees for several organizations including Cranbrook Schools, Horizons Upward Bound, Detroit Workforce Development, the Detroit Education Coalition and the CEO Leadership Group on Regional Economic Development. He has committed himself to supporting and encouraging the education of the next generation of engineers and leaders.
