Minnesota Beta is excited to introduce the 1609 Club, a new recurring giving society dedicated for our chapter. The name and suggested donation is a nod to the house number of our beloved chapter house. Donors can join the club by setting up recurring monthly, quarterly or annually gifts. Signing up is quick and easy, and you will only have to do it once for the duration of your time as a club member.
The following are suggested gift amounts, though you are welcome to select your own as well.
$134.10 – Monthly gifts of $134.10 = $1,609 per year
$52.00 – Monthly gifts of $52.00 = $624 per year
$16.09 – Address of our beloved chapter house
Thank you for your ongoing support of Minnesota Beta!
The club funds will be used for a wide variety of purposes including, but not limited to:
- Establishing a 1609 Scholarship to be awarded annually to an undergraduate member
- Small improvements to the chapter house
- Events hosted in partnership with the Twin Cities Alumni Association
- Contribution to our Pierce Butler Scholarship
- Sending undergraduates to PIVOT and other leadership academies
We eventually plan to reward Club members with tangible perks. But for now, all we can offer is sincere thanks and recognition in MN Beta’s undergraduate newsletter.
Yes, as a registered a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, donations made to the Phi Kappa Psi Foundation to support Minnesota Beta are tax deductible to the full extent of the law.
The club’s funds will be managed by the Phi Kappa Psi Foundation and their Investment Committee, which is made up of experienced brothers and the Foundation’s Investment Advisors. All preliminary transactions will be approved of a seven-man committee consisting of four alumni, appointed by the Chapter Advisor, and three undergraduates, appointed by the Chapter President. These transactions will then need approval from the Trustees of the Foundation.
Recurring gifts can be set up to be monthly, quarterly or annually.
